The first game of the semifinal series was played in Durham on March 2. Minto was scored on within the first minute of the game but managed to keep the score close, finally losing by only one goal. Final score was 6-5.
The second game was played in Harriston the next evening. This game saw back and forth action at both ends all game. Minto played a stronger and faster game from the defence up. The first period ended in a 1-1 tie with both teams having chances and both goaltenders playing well. Durham won the second period when they added four goals. Minto was only able to add three more goals to make the score 5-4 for Durham at the end of that period. Minto managed to produce four goals in the third period to end the game ahead 8-7.
