The Minto Mad Dogs Novice Local League team traveled to Durham the weekend of Feb. 6-7 to compete in another tournament. After suffering their first loss of the season earlier in the week, the team came out flying and won the tournament.
The team competed against teams from Erin, Hillsburgh, Tavistock and Mount Forest. Superb team defence ruled the ice with the team giving up only one goal while scoring over 25 goals. Great teamwork was on display the entire tournament.
This makes two tournaments in row won by the team, after earlier winning their own tournament. The team enters the playoffs on a roll. Hopefully the good season will continue right through the playoffs.
Members of the winning Mad Dog team are Connor Forrester, Zach Harrow, Brandon Woodriff, Hunter MacDonald, Bryce Williams, Rylynn Sinclair, Bradyn Brooking, William Dennison, Ian Jamieson, Ben MacRobbie, Mason Lobsinger, and Tyson Koopman. The coaching staff consists of Jamie Williams, Dan Sinclair, Steve Lobsinger and Chris Harrow.
