Arnold Cooper

Arnold Oswald Cooper of Palmerston passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at the age of 75.
Dear son of the late Oswald and Edna (Nagel) Cooper; dear brother of James Cooper of Arthur, Greta Rock of Palmerston, Bertha Evans of Palmerston, Barbara and her husband Ken Campbell of Drayton; and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by two sisters Hazel Cherrey and Nora Vardy, two brothers Carl Cooper and Dellman Cooper, one sister-in-law Lois Cooper, and two brothers-in-law Lorne Rock and Arthur Evans.
The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Thursday, Feb. 11. A funeral service of remembrance was held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, Feb. 12. Spring interment in Palmerston Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Arthur Self

Arthur Self of Harriston passed away at Palmerston and District Hospital on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at the age of 89.
Remembered by his brothers and sisters, Peggy Thistel and her husband Ben of Harriston, Jean Self of Fergus, Ray Self and his wife Bernice of Kitchener, and Elmer Self of Harriston, and by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Art was predeceased by his sisters Ethel Self, Norva Lang and Violet Evans, and by his brother Bruce Self.
A family service was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Tuesday, Feb. 23 with Rev. Dennis Wright officiating. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Elizabeth “Bernice” Brittain

Elizabeth “Bernice” Brittain of Hanover passed away at the Village Senior’s Community, Hanover on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at the age of 90.
Survived by her husband Norman Brittain, brother-in-law Ken (Birdell) Brittain of St. Catharines, and friends Bev (Yvonne) Strucke of Hanover.
Visitation was on Sunday, Feb. 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, where a funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.

George Mutter

George Mutter of Brussels and Listowel passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Huronlea Home for the Aged at the age of 85. He was born in Minto Township on April 8th, 1924.
Beloved husband of the late Aileen (Gilkinson) Mutter, who predeceased him in 2003; and dear father of Harold Mutter and wife Brenda of Wasaga Beach, Karen Chambers-Weishar and husband Ted of RR 2 Teeswater, and Paul Mutter and wife Barb of Brussels.
Also loved by his grandchildren Jeff and Jen, Tim and Carly, Trevor and Laura, Ang and Steve, Scott, Curtis and Katie, and Kevin and by his eight great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his infant brother Harold.
Friends were received by the family on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the funeral was conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
