Two losses for Peewee LL

On Jan. 24, Minto traveled to Walkerton. It was an evenly matched game, with Walkerton finally scoring in the second period. Final score was Walkerton 1-0. Matt Langridge was instrumental in goal.
Monday, Jan. 27 had Minto playing Durham. Scoring first for Minto was Austin Richardson, with assists from Russell Dennison and Chase Foerter. Then fans were treated to a back-and-forth match with Minto scoring again in the second period. Scoring the second goal for Minto was Mackenzie Pridham, with assists from Spensor White and Austin Richardson. Durham got one past goaltender Ryan Grandy with one second left on the clock to end the second period. It was all Durham in the third period with two more goals, leaving Minto with a 3-2, loss but what a great game!
The Peewee Local League hosted their tournament on Jan. 16 at the Harriston Arena.
Minto played the first game against Walkerton with a 2-0 win. First period play was back and forth with no scoring. During the second period, Riley Stanley scored with assists from Jeff Mock and Mackenzie Pridham. Late in the third, Minto’s Kyle Gristley scored, assisted by Chase Foerter and Spensor White.
Minto then advanced on the “A” side.
The next game put Minto against Mount Forest; Mount Forest won 7-0.
Winning the “B” championshop was Twin Centre.
Winning the “A” championship was Thornton.
