Minto will be hosting this year’s OASA provincial Mite Fastball Championship, Aug. 14 and 15.
The best young (ages nine and 10) fastball players in the province will converge on Palmerston that weekend, as teams vie for the championship. The tournament is a double knockout format, with 14 games and an extra game if needed. Opening ceremonies are set for Saturday, Aug. 14 at 11 a.m.
The tournament is being held in affiliation with Minto Minor Ball and supporting community groups, and is sponsored by Martin’s Home Hardware. Admission is free – the public is welcome to come and watch the some great fastball.
