Donation to Special Olympics

Bill Gates of the Father Doyle Knights of Columbus Council 6475 presented the North Wellington Bravehearts Special Olympic Group with a New Year’s gift in the form of a $1,500 donation. The Special Olympic group offers programs for athletes from Mount Forest, Arthur, Palmerston and Harriston. With between 25-30 registered athletes, the Special Olympic group continues to grow, offering quality programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities. The group enjoys bowling every Saturday morning at the Mount Forest Lanes, as well as figure skating at the Arthur Community Centre. Athletes are always welcome.
