CLIFFORD — Lorne Underwood set out to find curlers to form a curling club in Clifford and found that curling is alive and well in Clifford.
An executive was formed with Underwood as president, Luke Hartung as vice-president, Cari Chard-Richards as secretary and Jackie Rock as treasurer.
Four rinks can accommodate eight teams. Twenty-nine avid curlers, beginners, and spares stepped onto the pebbled ice surface with their curling shoes, sliders, brooms, and enthusiasm back on the first night Nov. 15. When three more sign up, there will be eight full teams. Spare curlers curl for free, but they need to sign up to be on the phone list. A new schedule for curling was set in January.
